Inventory Clerk

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity in the logistics industry, based in Cordova, Tennessee. The role of an Inventory Clerk is instrumental in our warehouse operations, with a focus on assembling, boxing, and handling various items.Responsibilities: Efficiently assemble items in accordance with warehouse protocols. Package items in boxes, ensuring the safety and integrity of goods. Assist in the collection of items throughout the warehouse. Uphold customer service standards when interacting with other team members. Adhere to safety standards, including proper lifting techniques in the warehouse. Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations. Maintain an organized work environment, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency. Participate in inventory counts, ensuring accuracy in record keeping. Resolve any inventory discrepancies through close attention to detail. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Requirements Possession of excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients and team members. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties, including lifting heavy items. Familiarity with inventory management procedures and best practices. Proficiency in using inventory software and databases. Proven experience as an inventory clerk or similar role. Strong organizational and time management skills. High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management. High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience or certifications will be preferred.
