As the world leader in serving science, our laboratory professionals bring their commitment to accuracy and quality to deliver groundbreaking innovations.Discover Impactful Work:The Systems Specialist performs intermediate in-system configurations and acts as a reviewer to system qualifications. Ensures customer success on supported applications. Serves as a coordinator of configuration implementations. Provides deliverables that are accurate, qualified, registered and comply with required formats and within established timelines.A day in the Life:
Operates as a resource for the team to ensure success in the delivery of task completion (in-system configurations, system template development, reports, etc.)
Defines needed revisions and updates in relation to system configurations. Identifies and cross-functionally coordinates the successful roll-out of all system changes. Contributes to system testing and demonstrations, draft requirements for small system changes and review of change controls.
Interfaces with other departments for the completion of system configurations, qualifications, implementation and training. Liaises with IT regarding system support.
Reviews team documentation for quality, accuracy and adherence to business requirements to ensure compliance with organization and client policies and procedures.
Participates in project teams as needed, contributing to direction on future enhancements to the system, reviewing change requests and ensuring effective communication and accuracy in testing.
Drafts test scripts accurately to demonstrate that the system consistently performs its intended functions accurately and reliably. Assists with creating, updating and managing data within the testing environment to ensure accurate test software functionality.
Contributes to and may act as a lead departmental resource for process improvements, user training and mentoring.
Keys to Success:Education
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Good knowledge of laboratory processes
Good problem-solving, troubleshooting, organization and time management skills
Attention to detail with solid editorial/prooing skills
Competency with Microsoft Office software
Solid written and verbal communication skills

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to train and coach others
Advanced knowledge of system template or report development
R programming skills
Solid knowledge of basic relational database platforms
(Oracle, SQL Server) and languages (PL/SQL, SQL)
