Construction Administrator

ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate must be a highly qualified professional, performing in a Construction Administration role representing the firm/project to the client during CA phase, and will be responsible for administering construction contracts on behalf of CannonDesign with particular focus on quality control and cost control from project start-up to closeout on projects.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
-Be the prime liaison between construction managers/general contractors, client/owner and AE teams Attend site meetings include scheduling, cost management, pre-installation, and bi-weekly meetings.
-Manage internal Construction Administration team and day-to-day tasks.
-Attend site meetings include scheduling, cost management, pre-installation, and bi-weekly meetings.
-Review and interpret construction documents and develop and issue sketches required to correct field conditions and issues, coordinate the work with consultants and the project team.
-Process, review and answer Request for Information and Submittals.
-Resolve problems which arise on the jobsite, coordinate bulletins to the contract documents, make recommendations, and consult client/owner on all issues related to the project.
-Monitor, review, and process closeout submittals and perform periodic field observation visits, including substantial presence at the construction site.
-Review payment applications and cost proposals.
-Prepare daily and other reports.
-Adhere to established on-site project procedures.
-Adhere to safety program requirements and work rules.
-Will work under the supervision of a Licensed Architect when required.
-Perform other assigned duties.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED
-Minimum 8+ years of related experience required.
-Current Registration or Licensure preferred.
-Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
-Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Technical knowledge, business acumen, coordination skills and the ability to build a rapport with the project team is essential.
-Must be able to perform work with minimal oversight and a high degree of latitude.
-Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam required.
-Knowledge of Procure, Revit and Document Control Software is preferred.
The salary range for this position to be filled in the Oswego, NY area is $86,000to $107,500 annually.This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
