Assistant Teacher for Infant and Toddler

It’s a Spanish speaker Teacher Assistant open position, with experience in Montessori education. The position is to support the guidance in a small mixed group (infant and toddlers). It’s not required a Montessori accreditation but Montessori experience.

This assistant teacher/aide is responsible for supporting the learning of each child with which you work under the direction of the lead teacher. Additionally, you will be helping children through transitions, maintaining supplies for the classroom and the whole classroom environment, and working as a team member across classrooms.

In this position you will be able to support the mission of Ariva Kids Development Classroom through teacher and family collaboration and implementation of a warm, nurturing, clean, safety, supportive, and culturally sensitive learning environment.

This full time job pays $21 per hour and two weeks of paid vacation, but the benefit of choosing the two weeks of vacations every year can only be used after 12 months of employment.

Holiday Pay:

Full Time Employees will be paid for their scheduled time during school closure days. The exception to this rule will be if the employee has no accrued time off available AND they have taken the day before the closure off.

Paid Sick Leave & Paid Time Off:

Sick leave and Paid Time Off will be accrued at 1 hour for every 40 hours worked. Accrual begins at the first hour of work, but the benefit of sick leave can only be used after 30 days of employment.
