Customer Service Lab Representative - Specimen Processor

Work location: Texas Health Physicians Group- 251 Westpark Way, Suite 212 Euless, TX 76040

Work Hours: Full Time - Nights, 40 hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00pm - 4:30am

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Six (6) months of customer service experience or six (6) months experience in a high-volume testing laboratory and data entry experience is required.

Familiar with basic medical and laboratory terminology is preferred.

Knowledge of appropriate lab and regulatory guidelines including, but not limited to: CLIA, CAP, CLSI (NCCLS), Texas Department of Health, EPA regulations regarding regulated waste disposal.

Knowledge of spreadsheet software such as but not limited to: Excel.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What you’ll need

What you’ll do

Answers the main lab line and provides customer service assistance to the caller. Document all calls on appropriate log.

Researches problem orders from the night before and provides necessary corrective action. Documents all actions taken on problem log.

Pull samples for add-on testing and ensures proper paperwork is received from
