Equipment Operator III
Overview:This position will be responsible for the complete operation, troubleshooting and repair in their designated area. Here's what you'll do:Responsible for the setup and safe operation of the equipment.Perform all necessary pre-start checks, general equipment repairs, preventive maintenance; cleaning, proper shutdown procedures and troubleshoot to assure accuracy of equipment. Calibrate unit on a regular basis to ensure proper performance.Complete downtime tracking documentation.Maintain daily operator log book to document observations, machine adjustments, etc.Monitor fruit samples for quality, size, grade and identify when adjustments are necessary.Maintain all electronic and hardware in clean and good operation conditions.Facilitate training on all equipment.Communicate with team members all vital information necessary to successfully execute our company and mission goals but not losing sight of employee and food safety.Continuously monitor all relevant performance metrics, and be able to make adjustments as needed to correct deviations.Participate in “minding the fruit” by taking ownership of their respective areas (continuously monitoring performance of equipment, quality of work, identifying barriers to success and taking meaningful action.)Understand other departments/areas so as to minimize any negative external impact to their departments.Hand off to the next shift, a work area that you yourself would expect from the other shift.Assist in the continuous improvement efforts at the facilities in Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Cost and ProductivityOther duties as assigned.
