PURPOSE:Manage and maintain production schedule to meet customer demand.  Review inventory within the plant to support on-time delivery to customers.  Plan and balance production and inventory level for accurate production schedule to meet customer demand. Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Purchasing and Sales, to manage the flow of jobs throughout the manufacturing process. NATURE AND SCOPE:Collaborate with sales, customer service, purchasing and manufacturing teams to manage demand, allocate capacity and balance inventory levels for on-time shipment.Work with Operations to prioritize workflow and maintain inventory within target levels (Market Rate Demand (MRD)). Ensure high level of data integrity to facilitate planning efforts.Analyze forecasts, capacity and production capabilities; and develop feasible production schedules that include lead times needed for raw material and outside processing.Identify bottlenecks in the manufacturing process; work to optimize production in accordance with customer demand. Confers with Operations to identify constraint. Escalate when target and objectives are not attainable.Utilize cross-functional team to identify root cause and implement corrective action on changes to capacity. Communicate changes in priority to Operations Managers, Production Supervisors and Customer Service.Maintain and report MRD data. Advise and consult with management regarding status of WIP and potential production problems.Create recovery plans and capacity constraints to communicate with customers.Participate in continuous improvement and cost saving projects.Work closely with the plant controller to develop S&OP outlooks.Prepare and present regular report on production OEE tracking and collaborate with operations, quality, engineering team to identify root cause and corrective actions.Optimize resource allocation to ensure maximum efficiency and minimize downtime.
