Compensation: $10.65/hour + Estimated Tips ($64-$82/shift)

Status: Part-Time

Location: Manhattan - Paramount Plaza - 1633 Broadway New York, 10019

Din Tai Fung is a Chinese restaurant specializing in Xiao Long Bao, or steamed soup dumplings, each made by hand with our “Golden Ratio” of 18 folds. About the Role:

Food Runners are responsible for running food to guests at their tables according to Din Tai Fung’s Food Running Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP’s”).

Job Responsibilities & Tasks:

Buss tables by removing all dirty dishes, utensils, and trash from the table

Wipes and cleans the table, chairs and floor areas according to Din Tai Fung’s Bussing SOP

Brings full bussing bins (up to 50 pounds) to the dish pit and sorts the contents according to Din Tai Fung’s Bussing

Standard Operating Procedure (“SOP”)

Pre-buss tables by clearing finished dishes

Takes out the trash after each shift and whenever necessary during shifts

Labels all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures

Attends monthly staff meetings and Busser meetings

Supporting Functions:

Maintains a cheerful, friendly and welcoming demeanor to all guests and co-workers

Keeps all Front of House areas clean, organized and sanitized

Lifts/moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds)

Assists with regular deep cleaning of the restaurant

Maintains confidentiality regarding all propriety information, including but not limited to recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP’s”).
