Caregiver - CNA/HCA/NAR $320/SHIFT
Oregon, Portland , 97201 Portland USA

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE JOB POSTING THOROUGHLY BEFORE RESPONDING

Companion Adult Family Home has an opening for 1-2 Caregivers CNA/HCA/NAR or plan to obtain certification in the near future. Conveniently located off of Mill Plain and I-205 in Vancouver.

We are looking for someone to work 1-2 shifts per week, with room for additional days, if/when available. This is a permanent and steady position.

Shifts are 24-hour shifts (7am -7am the next day).

Again, these are 24-HOUR SHIFTS with 8 hours of sleep time during the night (we are a non-awake facility by contract which means residents sleep and so do you!)

Pay is salary based at $320 per shift, once fully certified and after successfully passing a 90 day review, with time and a half holiday pay on major holidays, and paid sick leave.

Vaccination is not a requirement.

Job certificates normally required by the state of Washington (we will work with you to obtain if you do not have):

- NAR

- CNA or HCA training and certification

- Nurse Delegation

- Nurse Delegation Special Focus on Diabetes

- Current 2 step TB Test

- CPR/First Aid

- Dementia

- Mental Health

- Food Handlers Card

- Pass Background Check

If you do not have these certificates, you can still be hired while you work toward obtaining these within the first couple of weeks.

A new state program has become available for employees of Adult Family Homes. This program helps pay for most of these classes/certificates which would normally cost you $1,500+ out of pocket to obtain. This is new and is an amazing opportunity to get involved and become a CNA for basically no cost to you, which is something that the rest of us wish we had when we started! :)

Job entails keeping the home clean and sanitary and following a cleaning schedule, cooking meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), daily laundry, administering medication, assisting residents with daily activities as well as providing care (showering, dressing, transferring, etc.), interacting with the residents and above all creating a positive, safe and trustworthy atmosphere.

We are fairly flexible with individual approaches to the job but hold high standards when it comes to our resident's quality of care.

A great, friendly attitude, the ability to multitask, open communication, accountability, and the ability to follow directions is key. Trust is also one of the most important traits in this line of work - it is essential in our home!

Reliable transportation as well as a working phone is a requirement.

This is a good and well-organized home that has good systems for all duties, with a great staff team who all work together without difficulty and drama. We are looking for someone responsible and who has a good work ethic and some common sense.

If interested, please call with questions and contact information to schedule an interview. If you are emailing your resume please include your PHONE NUMBER. Leave a voicemail so we may return your call.

Looking to find a perfect fit as soon as possible and start training right away.
