Tax Analyst

Description We are seeking a Tax Analyst to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be conducting tax reconciliations, researching IRS transcripts, and analyzing tax credits on behalf of our customers. This is a long-term contract employment opportunity in the detail-oriented services industry.Responsibilities: Conduct detailed research on IRS transcripts to identify potential overpayments Analyze and compare IRS transcripts with 941 filings to ensure accurate tax reporting Handle tax reconciliation and research projects independently Utilize knowledge of ERTC and tax accounting principles in daily tasks Manage tax credit payments on behalf of customers Maintain compliance with tax regulations and laws Use Intacct or NetSuite Accounting software for tax-related tasks Prepare multi-state tax returns and income tax returns Conduct annual tax provision and auditing tasks Ensure accurate tax preparation and reporting.Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax-related role Proficiency in auditing, ensuring compliance with tax laws Proven experience in preparing payroll tax returns Expertise in tax reporting and preparing multi-state tax returns Demonstrated ability to prepare income tax return Experience in calculating annual tax provision Knowledge of tax credit computations and application Proficiency in tax preparation processes Previous role as a tax preparer is highly desirable Familiarity with Intacct software is a must Experience with Intacct ERP system is an advantage Proficiency in Sage Intacct is highly preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
