This p osition will have responsibility for all business oversight for the U/VHF Airborne Tactical Communications products, domestically and internationally . This role will be responsible for executi ng the annual operating plan of more than $300M in sales per year . The director sets strategy, vision and direction for successful program execution focused on overall product road-mapping, product affordability, product integrity, and on-time deliveries to enable near, mid, and long-term business growth. This role will interface with key executive leadership across Mission Systems and Collins Aerospace. What You Will Do:
Accountab le for profit and loss, AOP and financial metrics across the Airborne Communications portfolio
Accountable for the total life cycle value stream, acting as the leader and connector across multiple SBU's and functional/IPT partnerships (contracts & legal, engineering, manufacturing, quality, finance, aftermarket and business development)
Act as a primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss strategy, cost, schedule and technical performance
Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of programs/projects or subsystems of major programs/projects
Understands and represents customer needs to leadership
Lead and/or participate in the preparation of new business activities, including proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract
Lead and/or participate in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 18 years of relevant experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required , as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Experience in Program Management required
Experience with EVMS (Earned Value Management System), IMP (Integrated Master Plan), Risk, and Costing for large scale programs or projects
E xperience working with Navy or other customers on government programs
Experience developing program-staffing requirements
Experience in people leadership/management experience including g uiding teams, setting goals, providing coaching and development opportunities. ensuring team alignment with organizational objectives , influencing and inspiring others
Experience with multiple contract types
Qualifications We Prefer:
Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance on Day 1 preferred
Proven success creating and maintaining strong executive level relationships with suppliers, customers, government representatives, US acquisition commands and internal peers
Demonstrated proficiency managing cost, schedule and technical performance for large scale programs with proficient use of program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP) / Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management, Scope Board, or similar business processes
Experience working with the Navy or other customers on government programs (large/complex) with direct customer interfaces, both internal and external
Experience developing and implementing execution, coordination, and growth strategies for franchise programs
Demonstrated ability to work across business areas, manage diverse tasks, requirements and commitments and interface successfully with numerous disciplines
Ability to thrive in an innovative environment to maximize profitability by identifying opportunities across programs that share common hardware

The salary range for this role is 171,000 USD - 343,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
