Business Development Manager
Job Description Identifies new business opportunities utilizing resources available within the marketplace, such as GovWin, Orange slices, LinkedIn, and Sam.gov. Also identifies opportunities by prospecting independently. Directly responsible for development of the BD pipeline with identified opportunities that align to our capabilities, customer base, and strategic goals. Works directly with the VPGM and VPBD to qualify identified opportunities from the pipeline and development customer intimacy for each opportunity. Researches and gathers data that is meaningful to further enhance probability of win. Creates and maintains relationships with potential teaming partners, federal customers, and others to support an end-to-end win strategy. Prospect into assigned agencies to expand relationships and increase awareness of the company and it's capabilities. Supports the VPBD and VPGM with the business growth strategy and then devises an action plan with goals and objectives. Work with Capture to assist in solution sessions, opportunity hand off, and customer/opportunity intelligence. Work with Proposals to ensure the proposal is in alignment with the customer's requirements. Experience selling our services (cloud, devops, federal financial systems, adjudication support). Experience with incumbent capture and strategic teaming opportunities. Must be willing to attend customer meetings, networking, and industry events. 10+ years in federal business development. Successful track record of contract awards in excess of $50M per year over last two years.
