Doorman
Summary of Position:
The Door Person is responsible for providing a warm and professional initial greeting to guests entering the Hotel from 4th Avenue. This position ensures a welcoming atmosphere, maintains driveway cleanliness and organization, and assists guests with transportation and directions. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent customer service skills, local knowledge, and a commitment to creating exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
o Maintain assigned post at all times, ensuring professional and courteous interactions with guests.
o Greet all guests in alignment with Preferred standards, creating a positive first impression.
o Collaborate with Bell staff to address guest needs and special requests promptly.
o Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the circular driveway while managing traffic flow.
o Arrange transportation services, including taxi cabs, shuttles, and valet parking.
o Provide guests with event information, directions, and assistance as needed.
o Hold and maintains a valid Alaska driver’s license to operate vehicles as required.
o Perform other duties as assigned by the Bell Captain, Concierge, or Front Desk Manager.
Minimum Education
o High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience
o At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in guest services.
o Familiarity with the Anchorage area and local events within the state.
o Proven ability to interact effectively with the public in a fast-paced environment.
Skills/Abilities
o Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
o Excellent command of the English language (knowledge of a foreign language is an advantage).
o Polite attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.
o Ability to operate moving vehicles safely and responsibly.
