Facilities Technician

The Facilities Technician will also provide oversight for the maintenance and repair of HVAC and manufacturing equipment. The Facilities Technician will exhibit good documentation skills and may help in writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in this regulated environment. This position is customer-based with a focus on providing a safe, efficient, and comfortable working environment for Wedgewood employees.When will you work?This is an onsite position working Monday – Friday.What you’ll do :Follow the Work Order system to address facilities related tasks in a compliant, safe, and timely manner.Repairs and maintains in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications, machinery, and mechanical equipment such as autoclaves, auto baggers, HVAC, tablet machines, refrigeration, water purification systems, and production equipment.Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Maintain a spares parts inventory as required.Respond quickly to emergencies, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety and quality protocols.Participate in safety & EH&S programs.Able to overtime or weekends, on occasion, per maintenance scheduling, and participates in on-call rotation.May initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.May author and / or revise preventive maintenance procedures.Assist with renovations, equipment moves, equipment installations, and construction prep.Interact with various vendors on-site and ensure the work is completed safely and correctly.Who you are :Take pride in the presentation of Wedgewood Pharmacy and provide an efficient and safe working environment.Excel when working independently; prioritize a variety of facilities requestsWhat you’ve done :Demonstrated the ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and detailed work instructions while maintaining a safe working environmentObtained a High School DiplomaWorked with a facility work order systemDeveloped strong communication skillsA minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a technical roleWhat’s in it for you :A comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and flexible spending accounts401(k) retirement plan with a generous company contribution to help you save for the futureCompany Paid Life and disability insuranceAccess to voluntary insurance optionsA generous paid time off program that increases every yearTuition reimbursementOpportunity for growth - We believe in promoting from within and do so through our internal job posting program!About UsWedgewood is the nation’s largest and most trusted provider of compounded veterinary medications.
