Instrument Technician
Provide support and technical assistance for all maintenance activities associated with process instrumentation, electrical and control systems. Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation, electrical and specialty control equipment failures and restore to operating condition.Duties:Accountable for the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, calibration, and improvement of process instrumentation, and specialty control system devices for the St. Gabriel site.Understand and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, drawings, P&ID’s and PI historian.Assist in planning and schedule of work to meet overall maintenance and production requirements.Maintain and update technical information, drawings, calibrations, and maintenance records.Interact with production unit personnel and provide knowledge of process instrument controls.Participate in callouts and overtime in units of the plant.Proactively seek to improve and implement control systems additions to solve operational problems, to improve plant reliability and to reduce operating cost.
