Volunteer Services Manager
DescriptionUnder supervision of the service area Chief Mission Officer, the Volunteer Services Manager organizes and oversees a volunteer program to include High School student, college student, and adult resource volunteers at Providence St. Joseph Health hospitals in Sonoma and Napa counties (Queen of the Valley Medical Center, Petaluma Valley Hospital, Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, and with limited involvement at Healdsburg Hospital). The manager acts as liaison between volunteers and hospital staff and our communities, providing support to Auxiliary members and others who volunteer their services. Works collaboratively with hospital clinical and administrative staff to provide volunteer support resources that enable our medical centers in Napa and Sonoma counties to advance strategic goals and priorities, including quality, safe patient care and highly engaged staff. Ensures regulatory compliance and survey readiness at all Napa/Sonoma campuses that host volunteer programs.Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, Nursing, Education, Human Development, Sociology or related field.
2 years Management experience, preferably in a hospital/health care and/or volunteer setting.
3 years experience in a hospital environment.
Experience using volunteer management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in organizational process, training, management and supervision.
5 years experience in volunteer services with responsibility for managing volunteers in a healthcare environment.
