UI Engineer

Growing company with exciting next-generation storage products is looking for a seasoned user interface engineerto work with an existing frontend team on our Angular based software platform. Duties/Responsibilities: Development of TypeScript and Angular-based User-Interfaces for TrueNAS Products Prototyping of UI Designs using Adobe XD Peer Review of incoming code changes to ensure quality Troubleshooting of a wide variety of issues Weekly Status Updates Required Skills/Abilities: Able to create elegant, efficient, and testable code Proven Javascript, Typescript, and CSS skills Adobe XD and general UI mockup experience Familiar with principles of good UX design and consistency across a family of products Experience with RESTful, Websockets driven APIs and JSON Payloads Comfortable with Node, Yarn, Angular and other Javascript frameworks Solid understanding of Git version control Basic understanding of Linux operating system (filesystems, permissions, users) GitHub and Jira experience Storage Products (FreeNAS/TrueNAS) experience a huge plus Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science At least 2 years of experience in the software development industryPhysical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to periodically work locally in Maryville Tennessee Preferred, Remote is Possible
