The Grants Coordinator performs various tasks to support the Health Services Department for grants and contract management. The Special Projects & Grants Coordinator performs various functions to support the Health Services Department for management, grants, programs, and special assignments. Responsibilities include managing the daily workflow and operations related to the grant life cycle and assisting with various strategic priorities to advance the Department’s mission. The position regularly interacts with potential and current grantees about the status of their application, award, and progress reports, reviews documents to ensure compliance with guidelines, criteria, and grant agreements, and manages the distribution of grant-related activities to Health Services staff.

The Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe, originally known as the Nux Sklai Yem or The Strong People, are descendants of the Salish peoples with ancestral ties to the Kitsap Peninsula that date back at least 1,000 years. Salary is competitive with range dependent on experience and individual qualifications.
