Lead Accountant - FT - Onsite
ob Summary:
The Lead Accountant is responsible to lead daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring financial records are accurate, and compliance with legal requirements is maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with maintaining contracts with clients
Assist with corporate credit card, expense/travel program, and fuel card program
Review all expense reports for non-reimbursable credit card activity for accounting approval
Responsible for financial month end tasks related to the areas of responsibilities; including reconciling GL accounts, recording accruals and reviewing accounts for accuracy.
Assist with preparation, distribution, and reconciling of monthly cost center reports to managers.
Capable of analyzing financial data, to reason and reach conclusions with minimum guidance.
Highly competent and experienced in the principles and application of accounting principles.
Mastery knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge with the remaining MS suite of products (i.e., PowerPoint, and Word).
A team player who possesses problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
