OverviewCHI Health St. Elizabeth founded by the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration in 1889 is a full-service 260-bed nonprofit regional medical center in Lincoln Neb. St. Elizabeth specializes in the treatment areas of newborn and pediatric care women’s health burn and wound cardiology oncology emergency medicine orthopedics and neuroscience.Responsibilities

Operates, maintains and repairs a variety of utility systems, ancillary equipment and facility assets such as domestic hot and cold water systems, sanitary sewer systems, storm water systems including grease traps, booster pumps and ejector systems.

Operates, maintains, repairs a variety of speciality systems such as medical gas systems, medical vacuum systems and distilled water systems.

Operated, maintains and repairs HVAC piping systems including chilled water, steam and hot water piping systems. Including condesate return pumps and traps and pressure reducing valves.

Performs preventative maintenance, repairs and alterations to plumbing fixtures, water lines and sewer lines. Troubleshoots plumbing failures and malfunctions to determine course of action necessary to correct the problem.

Maintains equipment repair records in the computerized maintenance management system.

Other duties as assigned will be carried out, such as but not limited to, moving, loading and unloading supplies, materials, furniture and equipment; removing and/or shoveling snow from streets and walks, locking and unlocking doors and completing housekeeping duties in the Facilities areas.

QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSRequired Education for Staff Job Levels:Must be able to read, write and perform arithmetic calculations as normally acquired in high school. Must have training from a recognized trade apprenticeship.JOB DESCRIPTIONRequired Licensure and Certifications-Must have a Master Plumber license.-Must have a current Nebraska Driver’s LicenseRequired Minimum Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesApproximately one year on-the-job experience in building plumbing system maintenance and operation of ancillary equipment. Must be able to use and operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, carts and other equipment used in maintaining the buildings. Must have the ability to maintain and care for hand tools, power tools, ladders, carts and other equipment used in the daily maintenance of buildings.PREFERRED Qualifications-NFPA99 Health Care Facilities Code Certification.Pay Range$21.80 - $31.62 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
