Its mission is to help immigrant families access needed services, develop self-sufficiency, and participate fully as members of the community. Our staff is a diverse and talented team willing to take different and unique approaches to help children, youth and families thrive and succeed.Position SummaryIn a collaboration with BACR / LTF, Good Samaritan will provide services at LTF HUBs and Bayview site under the supervision of Bayview Manager to create a welcoming, professional, and friendly environment for families to promote the well-being of immigrant families through culturally relevant, strength-based services including information and referrals, service navigation, linkages to community services and resources.Specific ResponsibilitiesReceive all visitors who enter the center, providing a positive and welcoming environmentSupport the coordination of their assigned program and perform related data entry and track / enter participant’s attendance.Ensure communication and interventions with visitors and participants are culturally relevant, acknowledge and value families' strengths, and are responsive to the multiple aspects of the diversity of the families servedExplain Good Samaritan classes and programs to participants, other service providers, and visitorsConduct Basic and Comprehensive Intakes through internal database (Salesforce, CMS) to new and returning Good Samaritan Participants which includes assessing needs, completing consent forms and keeping documents confidential.Pre-screen needs of those seeking services through agency’s Basic Intake process to provide information and referrals to internal and external programsWork with other staff and service providers to ensure appropriate referrals and follow-up on referred participantsAnswer incoming calls, route callers or provide information as required in a professional mannerMaintain and update program referral and services information. Maintain and update internal Good Samaritan resources as well as latest community resources and referralsOutreach by virtual means or in-person in care setting to establish resource needs, connect to those resources, and follow up to determine if need is met.Maintain appropriate documentation such as notes and data for each activityWork closely with staff of all departments and the staff of BACR / LTF to ensure integration of resources and servicesEstablish effective interpersonal relationships through honest, open communication with co-workers children and parents.Takes proper safety precautions, anticipates unsafe circumstances, and acts accordingly to prevent accidents.Be aware of all Branch areas and staff; know who can assist you.Report all accidents, safety hazards, or conflicts to your supervisor immediately.Follow security and emergency proceduresFollow guidance on access of visitors and monitor the safety of the buildingProvide administrative support to staff as neededMeet with Manager weekly, attend staff, team, and committee meetings as scheduledOther duties as assignedOther ResponsibilitiesPerform some daily administrative support and operating tasks as assigned by the ManagerAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to promote, maintain, and contribute consistently to a positive work culture and team environmentAbility to demonstrate professionalism and respect in communication in all situations and with all stakeholders (participants, staff, parents, teachers, etc.)Ability to be flexible and responsive to a variety of student and programmatic needsMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent and 1 year of relevant work experienceBilingual Spanish / English required (in reading, writing, and speaking), bicultural preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills and public relation / customer services skillsAbility and willingness to work an irregular schedule and to travel to off-site locations in the community as neededStrong organizational and time management skillsComputer literacy (MS Word, the Internet, data entry)Punctual, self-motivated and flexibleExperience with Databases (CMS, GMS, Salesforce) and data entryDetail orientedDesired QualificationsKnowledge of Bayview District and citywide resourcesPrevious experience in or understanding of the family resource center and / or family strengthening modelsExperience working with Latino immigrant population and understanding of immigrant issuesTraining or experience in the areas or early childhood and / or youth developmentExperience with the practice of conflict management and de-escalation methodsRequirementsMust clear full background check (Department of Justice, FBI, Child Abuse Index).Must have TB clearance and current Covid Vaccine Card.Candidates must go through a background check after a conditional offer is made.Bilingual (Spanish and English)Extensive local travelPhysical RequirementsThis position is set in an office environment.
