This key role will receive guidance and direction from our Director of Events and Marketing, and is responsible for the management and execution of marketing and logistics for special initiatives and external facing events that raise funds and build awareness for our Venice Family Clinic. This events specialist role will develop creative concepts for initiatives and execute on complex project management plans for marketing and event campaigns that enlist internal cross functional teams.Responsibilities include:

Execute events from ideation to recap and manage a robust event calendar of development events including the HEART Gala, Venice Art Walk, donor salons, clinic openings, anniversaries and other events.

Collaboration with colleagues, and manage external partners/vendors.

Manage budgets, support negotiations, in-kind/sponsor offsets.

Support event staff, volunteer and vendor training and logistics.

Support the design, implementation and management of multi-faceted marketing campaigns that appeals to targeted and diverse demographics of donors, volunteers, community advocates, influencers and other supporters; includes advertising, website and social media content and other creative avenues.

Ensure marketing campaigns are well designed, easy to understand and have a clear call to action.

Oversee collateral creation using graphic design skills and engaging outside graphic design as necessary.

Travel as needed for events and to other locations.

The full salary range for this position is $68,800.00 - $141,000.00 Annual. The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is about $71,760.00 - $75,000.00 Annual.Senate Bill 525 was signed into law by Governor Newsom in October 2023. Starting June 1, 2024, SB525 sets a new $23 minimum wage for nonexempt healthcare workers and raises the exempt employee salary threshold to $1,380/week (equivalent to $5,980/month or $71,760/year).

As defined under SB525, healthcare workers are defined as employees who are involved in the provision of 'health care services,' which means 'patient care-related services including nursing; caregiving; services provided by medical residents, interns, or fellows; technical and ancillary services; janitorial work; housekeeping; grounds keeping; guard duties; business office clerical work; food services; laundry; medical coding and billing; call center and warehouse work; scheduling; and gift shop work; but only where such services support patient care'.

Employees (career, contract, student, per diem) in the UCLA Health medical facilities (e.g. Ronald Reagan Medical Center, Santa Monica UCLA Hospital, Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, etc.) meet these criteria.

QualificationsRequired:

A Bachelor's Degree

3-5 years of experience in marketing and event management; experience supervising graphic design.

Outstanding project management stills, keen attention to detail, and a proactive and solution-based approach.

Ability to hold oneself and internal and external partners accountable to deadlines, deliverables and high standards.

Strong awareness of trends in marketing, events and culture; ability to incorporate these aspects to keep initiatives current.

Exemplary written and oral communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and visual skills.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to set priorities, bring projects to completion, and meet multiple deadlines with a high degree of autonomy.

Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Poise and professionalism in all circumstances

Willingness and ability to travel (for meetings, events and off site) and work weekends and evenings as needed.
