Essential Duties and Responsibility:
Service techs perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with shop standards, test drive vehicles, test components, and systems using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil & filter changes, lubrication, and tune-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
Examine vehicles to determine the damage, wear, or malfunction.
Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and repairs in a timely manner.
Follow a checklist to make sure all repairs are completed.
Diagnose, repairs and services air conditioning, heating, engine-cooling, and electrical.
Test drive, adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturers performance specification.
Remove and replace faulty assemblies such as drivetrain and transmission systems, steering systems, suspension components and linkages.
Ability to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and AC systems.
Review work orders and be able to discuss mechanical problems and needed repairs with Manager and Service Writer
Education & Certification:
5+ years of Automotive Technician Mechanic experience on automotive vehicle diagnostic
ASE Certification
Diagnostic skills are required, use of scan tools and all diagnostic equipment.
Perform safety inspection & basic electrical checks, execute test sequences per repair.
Repair general maintenance of import and domestic vehicles.
Knowledge and the ability of the use and operation of all automotive equipment and testing equipment, gauges and tools normally associated with the troubleshooting and repairs, including tekmetric, Mitchel1, etc.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
Valid Clean Driver’s license
Must have reliable transportation.
Must have a complete professional grade set of your own standard and metric tools & toolbox.
Hunter Alignment equipment experience
Diesel-powered experience a plus
Evidence of performance through shop management system reports

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift or move 50 pounds, on occasion up to 100+ pounds with help.
