Construction Equipment Mechanic
LL Pelling is looking for a skilled heavy equipment mechanic to maintain and repair our construction equipment and fleet vehicles. This full-time, year-round position comes with a competitive benefits package including a company-provided pickup truck. Mechanics perform work both inside a shop and outside, directly on construction sites. Responsibilities
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on road construction equipment and fleet vehicles.
Troubleshoot malfunctions and determine repairs needed.
Complete maintenance and repair logs.
Additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Minimum 2 years experience repairing heavy construction equipment and fleet vehicles. Or, the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver's license with insurable driving record
Be at least 18 years of age.
Required Skills/Abilities
Must have regular dependable attendance to be physically present in the shop each day.
Ability to drive to job sites and company locations using company pickup.
Able to work independently with little to no direction and in a team environment.
Great communication skills.
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
