Night Patrol Specialist
A part-time night patrol specialist (about 9 hours/week), flexible hours after dark and before 11 pm.
Drives own automobile over specified geographic areas to locate and report sign and lighting outages and sign service issues by performing the following duties:
Follows assigned patrol routes via a mobile app, thoroughly checking all waypoints on the route and other locations for sign and lighting outages and service opportunities
Maintains constant surveillance from vehicle to identify additional sign and lighting outages and sign service issues
Utilizes the mobile app to document outages by taking pictures and recording other details such as problem reported, sign/lighting elevations, customer name, address.
Estimates size and characteristics of outage or service issue, and reports findings to supervisor
TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Must have a state issued driver's license in good standing; must have own vehicle and smartphone; a high school education; or up to one month related construction or sign project experience or training; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to enter data on a mobile app
Ability to read, interpret, and apply safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to communicate in person
Ability to see from a distance
