Caregiving position available in Kirkland with a ton of flexibility in your day! In search of a loving caregiver who can “hang” with our crazy, but super fun family. Our 27 year old son with Muscular Dystrophy is in need of a assistance with his daily living activities.

Typical M-F, 7:30ish -3:30ish hours are ideal, but flexibility is possible.

Duties include: medication management, general tidying, hoyer transfers from bed to wheelchair, light stretching, bathing, teeth brushing, simple meal prep, toileting assistance, minimal housekeeping/clothes folding, optional dog walking, etc. (We will train until you are 100% comfortable with the job)

This is not a group home, you will only have one client, our son. He has an active friend group and spends a lot of time with them or is often online doing his own thing, so many times your assistance will be an “on call” situation throughout the day. This is where you will find ample time to pursue reading, watching tv, studying, crafting, etc. and you will have a private space to yourself.

If interested, please contact Brandy at 206-963-4709 (text or call) to meet and see if you would be a good fit for our family - We look forward to meeting you!

"Working for this family is the best! They are so nice and so understanding and will make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need every step of the way. The client is an amazing guy with a great attitude and he is also very helpful with walking you through what he needs. He is very patient and kind, and he also has a great sense of humor. This job is great for anyone who is in school, has a time consuming hobby, or maybe has a second online job. There will be a decent amount of downtime, especially in the mornings as He sometimes sleeps in a little more after being situated. They also have the sweetest dog and 2 adorable kitties who are all very kind and non invasive. This has easily been the best job I’ve ever had and I am so sad to leave, but I know whoever takes it up after me will love it!"

-Z.P., Caregiver for our family this past year

“This is one of the best jobs I’ve ever had, and I’m very sad to have to leave it. A family situation is forcing me to relocate—otherwise I would have kept this job for as long as I could. The client is a really good guy, the family is kind and welcoming, and it’s a comfortable and happy place to spend your work day. (Did I mention the dogs? I love them so much and will miss them terribly.) If you are a writer, a reader, a student, or someone who just likes peace and quiet, this is a great job for you.”
