Community Outreach Coordinator
Position Announcement: Community Outreach Coordinator
The ReCyclery of Jefferson County is 501(c)(3) designated non profit dedicated to serving and cultivating the community of Jefferson County, Washington. First imagined in 2007 in an alleyway in downtown Port Townsend, we have grown in size and reach, and now operate out of a community built building on local school district property. Our staff, along with our cadre of dedicated volunteers and community partners continually work towards and reimagine our mission: Promoting bicycle use for a healthier and more sustainable community.
Our programming focuses heavily on education through a dedicated community shop space, focused classes, mountain bike club and integration with the local school curriculum. Our full service bike shop program prioritizes used and refurbished bikes and parts and seeks other ways to limit waste streams. Our building serves as a community hub and gathering place where diversity is welcomed and celebrated. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is interested in joining us on this journey. Someone who is enthusiastic about shaping a small but growing nonprofit, and passionate about our mission and local community level work.
The Community Outreach Coordinator assumes primary responsibility for management of grants, fundraising, and community engagement in fulfillment of The ReCyclery’s mission and vision.
Secondary responsibilities include program implementation of the Cascade Bicycle Club’s Youth Development Program grant. These additional responsibilities include hands-on involvement in the execution of this grant. The Community Outreach Coordinator will serve as the lead for all reports, including surveys, narratives, and budget reporting. This will require a first-hand understanding of this grant, its programs, and overall holistic successes/challenges.
