Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic is seeking an experienced Internal Communications Manager to join our team and drive our internal communication strategies!As the Internal Communications Manager, you will develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that support our new mission, vision, and values. You will create key messaging to promote our culture and employee value proposition and ensure that our strategic plans and initiatives are effectively communicated to employees and stakeholders.This position is on-site in Yakima, Washington.Relocation allowance is available.At Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, we value inclusivity. The Ideal Candidate:5+ years in internal communications or related field1+ year of leadership experienceProficient with CMS (e.g., First Source) and Microsoft 365Commitment to YVFWC’s mission and valuesWillingness to travel within the service area What You’ll Do:Develop and implement communication strategies for new mission, vision, and values.Create key messaging to promote culture and employee value proposition.Communicate strategic plans and initiatives to employees and stakeholders.Produce and manage content, including newsletters, emails, videos, presentations, and intranet updates.Oversee the editorial calendar to ensure timely and relevant communication.Provide guidance and support to the internal communications specialist.Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure clear, consistent communication.Facilitate forums and town hall meetings to gather employee feedback and promote engagement.Manage daily operations of the internal communications function.Enhance communication channels for usability and informativeness.Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communications and report findings to leadership.Develop crisis communication plans for emergencies.Coach and mentor staff; manage performance and conduct evaluations.Support staff development and encourage educational opportunities.Participate in recruitment and orientation of new staff.Foster an inclusive work environment and support diversity.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. Alternatives: Associate’s degree with 2 additional years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 4 additional years of relevant experience5 years of experience in internal communications or a relevant fieldSkilled in developing and implementing communication strategiesStrong data analysis, reporting, and content creation skillsExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to lead, mentor, and work with senior executivesKnowledge of change management and employee engagementOur mission celebrates diversity.
