Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to support a company located in JENISON, Michigan. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, your main role will be to support our finance department by accurately processing vendor invoices and maintaining an organized record of all transactions. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Accurately input invoice details into the financial system Manage the vendor database, ensuring all contact information is accurate and current Prepare and execute check runs promptly Reconcile vendor statements, identifying any discrepancies and resolving issues effectively Assist in the month-end closing process Organize and maintain a well-documented system of past and present invoices Collaborate with internal teams including procurement and logistics Ensure compliance with all financial policies and procedures Utilize Microsoft Excel and SAP in managing accounts payable processes Perform data entry tasks and code invoices as requiredRequirements Proven experience working in Accounts Payable (AP) within the interior design industry Proficiency in coding invoices, with a keen eye for detail Demonstrable skills in executing check runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Capability to perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy and speed Experience in invoice processing, ensuring all invoices are approved and paid on time Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data management and financial reporting Familiarity with SAP or similar accounting software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
