Little bit about me:

I worked 15+ years as kitchen chef, prep chef, dishwasher, server, and sushi chef. Finally saved enough to open my own place.

I've worked in many many places and have been through what many of you have been through, and I promise to try my best to be as transparent and honest as I can with my teammates, not deceive and trick etc like many owners. For one, I will be there working beside you, 7 days a week, from open to close and more. I can fix most restaurant issues, from broken fryers to frozen POS systems, flickering lights, to clogged drains, flyings bugs to raging customers (lol).

It is a new opening so I can't guarantee you sales, and I may not be able to offer you right off the bat what many big places can offer, but I assure you I promise to do everything I can to increase sales as quickly as I can, and with that, I plan to increase pay for people that have supported me though those times. We won't have millionaire CEOs and board members stealing our hard work. Even if you don't have a lot of experience, as long as you are motivated to learn, I will teach you everything I know for both of us to improve.

A little bit about the restaurant:

The size of the space is roughly 1700 square feet, with 45 seats give or take.

6 booth seats fitting 4 customers each

14 sushi bar seats

lounge area with 3 sofas: 2 2-seaters and 1 3-seater

standard type 41 alcohol license, but I can legally use 24% alc. Shochu (that's Japanese ver. of Soju) and plan on selling fruit mixers so if you have experience with mixing drinks, that's definitely a plus.

Business hours will be roughly opening at 11 and closing at 9 with a couple hours closed for break, with opening and closing times slightly varying depending on the day of the week. I think it's pretty typical but if you have ideas/suggestions, feel free to let me know. Locations wise, it's only 5 minutes away from the freeway 15, sitting inside the only prominent mall in the local area, anchored by Vons. There is only one other sushi restaurant in the area, 2 if you stretch out the area more, but I worked at one and know the people that own the other place, so we can definitely fare well against both. It will be the only place in the local area offering food and drinks past 8 pm. For anything else, customers will have to go out all the way to mira mesa. Therefore, with sufficient advertising, I feel that people in the area would be in favor of a local place with good food and drinks for a very affordable price. On top of that, I plan to allow employees to order their meals with employee discounts, up to $50 total price. So If you want to take some food home to your friends or family, you can do so with prices far less than anywhere else. In the future, I want to do events like super smash bros tournaments, pet nights, etc, but I'm also not really a social person so I'd really appreciate your ideas on that too.

Anyway, that's far longer than necessary so I'll wrap it up here. Hope to work with you soon!
