Biodiesel/Glycerin/Lecithin Operator

Overall Purpose and Objective of Position: This position operates equipment for the boiler, biodiesel, glycerin and lecithin process areas of a soybean crushing and biodiesel plant. Primary function is to ensure that these processes are operated and controlled in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with government regulations and Company standards.Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Operates industrial processing equipment and completes regular checks of equipment to ensure that standard operating procedures are followed, Company standards are met, and plant efficiencies are optimized.Responds to equipment issues or alarms; investigates and initiates resolution.Conducts quality control tests, enters data into the electronic database and operates the computer control system at the plant.Performs inspection rounds; completes log readings; ensures compliance with Company safety rules and regulations by reporting safety, equipment, and operational issues.Additional Responsibilities:Actively participates in Shift/Team activities including complying with best practices, standard operating procedures and development, maintenance, and continuous improvement efforts.Actively participates in job-related training as required.
