Laborer
Laborers are assigned to various production related tasks to include drilling, cutting, bending, shaping, grinding, fitting, assembly, cleaning, scrap removal, tacking, burning, and moving material. Laborers can learn the basics of specific jobs and operate basic machinery and tools following proper training. Essential FunctionsAble to operate magnetic drills.Torque bolts.Grinding steel products using various sized grinders.Operate cutting and heating torches.Layout, position, align, and fit together the fabricated parts of structural components according to shop drawing or prints and layout specifications.Tack welding.Unloading of raw materials and loading of finished steel products with the use of a forklift (requires completion of proper training and certification).Perform trash and scrap removal; general cleaning and housekeeping in the shop as directed; run errands and perform in-house deliveries as necessary.Handling, moving and turning of production materials with overhead cranes.Able to stud weld and operate a stud welding machine.Perform other job duties as assigned.
