We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team.
This role involves navigating the plant environment to obtain liquid samples from silos, conducting various tests, and ensuring compliance with FDA and plant standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience in quality assurance and control within a manufacturing environment and possess strong documentation skills.
Responsibilities
Navigate the plant environment to properly obtain liquid samples from silos using FDA and plant standards, while maintaining awareness around machines and forklifts.
Test samples using lab equipment and instruments, performing tests such as pH, acidity, melting point, viscosity, and solid/fat percentages, ensuring samples remain within specified ranges.
Carefully document all procedures with dates and signatures, and keep the lab clean to prevent contamination. Ensure supplies are refilled, including chemicals and pipets.
Follow FDA and plant standards in both the lab and plant at all times. Calibrate equipment daily and perform various daily tasks, including receiving phone calls from the dairy and other parts of the plant.
Continuously multitask throughout the day to ensure products and samples proceed ahead and remain within specifications.
