Direct Service Professional
Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Rehab Services Program Coordinator, the Skills Development Specialist serves as a support function to the community services team by providing individual and group skills development and assisting clients in accessing services and community resources.

Provide skills training and various therapeutic interventions to clients within a program and under the general supervision of the Rehab Services Program Coordinator.
Monitors client behavior, documents, and relays information to the appropriate treatment professionals.
Assists in coordinating client activities with community service projects and agencies.
Provides and participates in interdisciplinary quality assurance utilization review, treatment planning, treatment assessments, and crisis intervention.
Provides access to community resources for clients as scheduled by the Agency utilizing Agency vehicles.
Maintains accurate client service records within the time frame established by the department.
Consistently adheres to the program activity schedule and all safety and security procedures.
Works within the Skills Development Specialist I productivity standards currently established by the Agency.
Develop competencies through participation in supervision, Skills Development meetings, and required training in skills training, therapeutic interventions, appropriate boundaries, client engagement, caseload management, documentation, and other job-related activities.
This position requires compliance with MSHS’ compliance standards, including the Code of Conduct, Compliance Program, and policies and procedures. Such compliance will be considered part of the regular performance evaluation.
