Front Desk Receptionist/Accounts Payable Clerk
May Technology & Mfg., Inc., est. 1964 and located in Kansas City, MO has immediate openings for long-term self-starting professional individuals. We manufacture high quality precision machined parts, assemblies and tooling for the aerospace, defense, automotive, construction and other industries using the latest in advanced computerized mfg. tools & technology. Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist/AP Clerk performs routine clerical and administrative work in answering phones, receiving the public and providing customer assistance. This individual will also assist the Accounting Dept. with routine AP duties as outlined below.
Process supplier invoices into ERP database while confirming purchase order pricing against supplier invoice pricing and investigate discrepancies between pricing of supplier invoices and purchase orders, payment terms, taxability and FOB point.
Contact vendors when necessary about invoices, if the invoice is missing information, if there is a price discrepancy, or to request credit memos for materials returned.
Reconciliation of supplier statements to our AP records.
Supplier payment processing, mailing and filing.
Reconcile supplier credit card purchases against the credit card statement and process into ERP database.
Essential duties and responsibilities for the Front Desk Receptionist include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Ensure the phone is monitored for calls and answered in a courteous and appropriate manner. Take messages for various personnel.
Greet all visitors in a professional manner. Maintain Visitor Log Sheet, with strict adherence to company policy regarding visitor clearance and supervision.
Process applicants - hand out applications, notify HR for handling of walk-ins, make copy of application for managers with scheduled interviews.
Type correspondence accurately and professionally, and in a timely manner.
Misc. filing as needed.
Monitor office supply stock and requisition what is necessary for daily functions.
Maintain a safe, clean and orderly working environment.
Comply to MTM's safety rules and regulations, and wear the appropriate safety equipment when entering the production areas.
Comply to MTM's procedures and instructions, when performing job duties.
Support the Quality Management System to assure compliance to quality, industrial and government standards and regulations.
Daily tasks as needed such as prepping copier, assisting with projects, making coffee, etc.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED;
Must interact well with others, be detail oriented and have ability to problem solve;
Good computer skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and work with little supervision; and
Experience with Microsoft Office.
