Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Applications Architect in NEWINGTON, Connecticut. This role is within the healthcare industry and will involve a mix of on-site and remote work. The primary function of this role is to manage the configuration of the CMDB and Discovery lines of the ServiceNow platform. Responsibilities: Design and configure architectural solutions in the ServiceNow Discovery tools, including virtual servers, OS level, patch level, database version, routers, switches, and other discoverable data. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, implementing industry best practices. Maintain and manage the CI lifecycle, ensuring configuration management activities operate in line with SLA targets. Collaborate with IT Service Management leadership, service/process owners, and ServiceNow admins/developers to configure the CMDB Health preferences. Review, analyze, and report on CMDB, configuration management, and metrics, constantly seeking improvements through regular health checks. Validate data accuracy for CMDB and maintain governance in accordance with CI, product, and service owners. Act as liaison with IT managers, executing the determined CMDB processes. Manage ServiceNow Discovery MID-servers and ensure all work adheres to standard work, policies, and best practices for development and platform maintenance. Maintain compliance with system policies regarding sensitive data. Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in the role of Applications Architect or similar capacity. Proficiency in Atlassian Jira. Strong skills in Backend Development. Knowledge and experience with Cloud Technologies. Familiarity with DB2 Database. Expertise in EXPRESS. Experience in AB Testing. Understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies. Competency in API Development. Proficient in ASP.NET. Experience with AWS Technologies. Knowledge of ServiceNow Platform. Familiarity with ITIL Processes.
