Materials Testing Project Engineer
MTS is seeking a highly organized and motivated Entry-Level Project Engineer to join our team. Your focus will be to contribute to the effective execution of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the agreed-upon technical specifications. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, gaining experience in all phases of project delivery, including custom mechanical, electrical, and software designs.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning: Support the review of order confirmations, assist in developing project plans, and contribute to the creation of project teams, schedules, and budgets.Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with internal teams (sales, application engineers, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers) and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope, timelines, and technical requirements.Budget and Timeline Management: Assist in monitoring and managing project budgets and schedules, ensuring projects are on track and within budget constraints.Technical Problem Solving: Support the identification and resolution of technical challenges, ensuring that project deliverables meet required quality standards and customer expectations.Multitasking and Prioritization: Help balance multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands, ensuring timely project completion.Risk Management: Work with senior project engineers to anticipate potential risks, particularly regarding on-time delivery, and develop solutions to mitigate them.Safety and Quality Compliance: Ensure that projects comply with MTS safety protocols and quality standards throughout all phases.Communication and Accountability: Maintain clear communication with internal and external teams, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of project progress and any changes.
