Building Maintenance Technician
We are seeking Maintenance personnel at our property management company! Although we are small, our staff is like a family and we work together as a TEAM! All our Techs work 40 hours a week; 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday. Part-time employment is available on a case-by-case basis. We do occasionally have after-hours calls, and our staff alternates who is “on call” each month. Maintenance personnel are not expected to be “on call” more than twice a year, and there are always two Techs assigned to every month. Since we hire Technicians of all skill levels, we do not have a specific job description for the requirements. However, below are some things that might be asked of a Tech depending on skill-level.
Low skill-level:
· Painting and drywall
· Changing light bulbs
· Cleaning out units of previous tenant’s forgotten belongings/trash
· Grounds work; i.e. mowing lawns, shoveling/snow-blowing in the winter, trash removal
· Small repairs as needed
Medium skill level:
· Repairing broken cabinets, doors/window screens
· Lock changes/key copies
· Garbage disposal repair or installation
· Light fixture repairs
· Plumbing repairs/snaking out drains
· Some flooring or ceiling repairs
High skill level:
· Hanging cabinets
· HVAC repair
· Larger electrical repairs
· Larger plumbing repairs
· Appliance repairs/installation and may more
Techs are also required to bring their own tools. Paint, drywall, lightbulbs, and any other purchases needed for various maintenance jobs can be made using our TEAM company cards.
