Special Events Administrative Coordinator
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the education industry in Los Angeles, California. The Special Events Administrative Coordinator will provide crucial administrative support to our Major Gift Officers and play an integral role in our team's development strategies. This role requires a keen understanding of special event planning and administrative assistance.Responsibilities: Ensure efficient and accurate processing of customer credit applications Manage and maintain confidential donor and prospect information Collaborate with administrative support staff in support of the Major Gift Officers and their respective goals and priorities Serve as the department liaison, coordinating logistics for cultivation events that support fundraising efforts Assist in the production and distribution of marketing/solicitation pieces Provide administrative support by managing schedules, preparing written correspondence, and responding to incoming correspondence Maintain accurate customer credit records and monitor customer accounts for appropriate action Assist with the management of prospects, including using the development database to enter actions, contact reports, and next steps Support the division’s fundraising efforts and priorities in a collaborative environment. Requirements Possess experience or knowledge in Major Gift activities within the education sector Demonstrated ability in Special Event Planning, including logistics, budgeting, and promotion Proven track record in providing Administrative Assistance, including scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping Familiarity with Student Affairs, including student services and academic policies Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required for special events Commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity and inclusion.
