Live in or Live out Housekeeper/Nanny

Our returning clients are relocating from London, UK to Washington DC in the New Year.

We are on the hunt for a lovely housekeeper/nanny to join their team, working closely with other staff to ensure the household runs smoothly on a day to day basis.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a private household and experience in 5 star hotels would be advantageous. Working within a family environment, it is important that you have a kind, positive outlook, are adaptable to the ebb and flow of family life, and enjoy being an integral part of a close knit team.

The family employ a full time nanny and you will assist with general childcare to support the nanny and mum depending on the schedule of the day.

Experience across the usual range of duties including: laundry, household cleaning and inventory management, front of house service is required.

The role can be live in or live out.

This is a wonderful family to work for, they are kind, respectful employers whose staff remain with them long term. They have 3 young children and a small dog who is very much part of the family.

There may be some travel required to properties in the US and Europe.

Duties & Responsibilities:

-Assisting with childcare

-Day to day housekeeping

-Laundry and ironing

-Assisting with front of house service when entertaining

-Keeping on top of household supplies, liaising with the team to ensure stocks are replenished

-Ad hoc errands

Requirements:

-Right to work in the US

-Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within private households.

-Strong references from previous employers, background check or willingness to undergo one a must.

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

-Discreet, loyal and flexible

-Strong attention to detail and ability to perform high-quality cleaning and maintenance tasks

-Valid driver’s licence
