Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Collector in the local government sector, located in Wilton, Connecticut. As a Tax Collector, you will play a critical role in our revenue management, ensuring the proper collection of taxes, addressing customer inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities: Respond to customer inquiries regarding tax-related matters Correctly process cash and tax collections Utilize accounting software systems for accurate record-keeping Maintain an up-to-date understanding of municipal tax regulations Solve any discrepancies in tax records promptly and efficiently Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions Use ADP - Financial Services for various accounting functions Handle phone calls professionally, providing information and answering queries Leverage your knowledge about deductibles in tax collections Use your experience with municipalities to enhance your performance. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential for the role. Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services is a requirement. Ability to perform various accounting functions is necessary. Must have strong customer service skills. Understanding of tax deductibles is required. Familiarity with municipalities and their tax-related procedures is crucial.
