Commercial HVAC Service Technicians
Primary duties: Commercial Building HVAC Techs
o Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction
o Performs repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems
o Prepares repair quotes in the field to solve customers’ problems
o Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or engineering specifications, to
diagnose and repair units
o Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by
customers
o Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering
materials and coordinating on-site work as necessary.
o Maintains vehicles by keeping records of service manuals, scheduling, and completing repairs
o Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
o Keeps current all manufacturers’ products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair
o Communicating with the dispatch team throughout the day on all project statuses
o Works with service managers to help solve customers’ HVAC issues
o Keeps in constant communication with service manager(s) with any job-site or safety issues.
o Assists team members with troubleshooting in the field
o Provides technical support to customers
o Pulls on call duties on a rotation basis
o Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required
Qualifications and Requirements for consideration
o 7-10 years of verifiable stable Commercial Building HVAC install, Service and repair experience.
o Associate degree and or HVAC trade school certification with at least 10 months classroom training.
o EPA Approved Universal Technician Certification
o Valid driver's license
o No DWIs within the past 5 years
o Can successfully pass a criminal background check and drug test
o Chiller Technicians experience a plus
