Manufacturing Engineer

Local manufacturing company needs a manufacturing engineer to optimize processes and support product lines. The company makes assembled metal products. Familiarity with mechanical designs and manufacturing is a must. Very generous salary and benefits, including health, dental, vision, and 401K. RESPONSIBILITIES:· Working with a safety-first approach, lead manufacturing projects, coordinating both internal and external resources to meet KPI’s.· Champion continuous improvement and lean manufacturing ideas that improve production costs, volumes, and quality.· Work on capital improvement projects, machinery improvement, plant layout. Work with vendors and contractors on equipment installations.· Lead manufacturing process development for new or improved products· Implement ideas for robotics and automation, where practical. Familiarity with PLC-based production systems is a plus.
