Compensation: $23.00 - $29.00/Hr. DOE
Comp listed includes $3.00/hr medical stipend
Reporting To: Shop Supervisor
Qualifications:
Must be able to perform duties associated with CNC Punch Turret. Must assist the Supervisor in improving working conditions (safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity) on the production floor.
Position Summary:
A Turret Operator punches various steel or aluminum parts and components. The Operator is responsible for the machine's daily operations to achieve production goals. The position requires experience with various CNC turrets and familiarity with sheet-metal fabrication processes. Basic math skills, experience with reading blueprints, and using standard measuring equipment are required as well. This position performs tasks requiring basic skill, accuracy, efficiency, machine safety, and tool operation. The Operator punches parts and assures that the parts are being produced to the specifications described or according to drawings. It also monitors the machine's function to ensure it functions as necessary. Must be able to operate other equipment, use various power tools, saws, punches, sanders, and sheers, and perform minor equipment repairs.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of CNC Turret operations, including set-ups.
Maintain Punch and Die tooling and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
Consistently produce parts according to blueprint specifications.
Able to set up and run prototype or 1st run parts.
Make set-up sheets to document the punching process on complicated parts.
Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must be able to lift 5 to 10 lbs. continuously and rarely up to 35 lbs. Over 35 lbs. require
assistance.
Keep the area clean, neat, and safe.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Skills -
Blueprint reading to verify parts are made to print, and verifications are performed for fellow employees.
Computer skills for downloading and uploading programs.
Able to speak, read, and write in English.
Organizational / cleanliness.
Advanced Mathematics, including flat pattern measurements.
Accurate counting of parts and inventory items.
Education –
Previous sheet metal experience is a plus.
Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience –
2 to 3 years minimum experience in Turret Operation desired
Must follow directions verbally and in writing and work well in a team environment.
