Senior Accountant
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Senior Accountant for one of our clients based in San Jose, California location. This role is critical in our dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be primarily involved in executing various accounting tasks, handling financial reports, and assisting in special accounting projects. Responsibilities: Execute various accounting tasks, including the preparation of journal entries and account analysis for US general ledger accounts such as prepaid expenses, cloud computing arrangements, restructuring, goodwill, and intangible assets. Conduct monthly balance sheet fluctuation analysis and prepare reports for management, providing commentary and noting changes from previous periods. Oversee global account reconciliation process, conduct quality reviews of account reconciliations, and ensure outstanding reconciling items are cleared promptly. Design, implement, and maintain effective accounting processes, policies, and internal controls for compliance. Collaborate with accounting transformation team members to identify automation opportunities and build scalable and transformational processes. Support cross-functional teams with journal entry posting and account analysis. Conduct periodic global accounting team trainings around best practices for reconciliations and other key accounting topics. Assist in audit activities with internal and external auditors. Support new business initiatives, process improvements, and corporate initiatives. Perform other related duties or ad hoc projects as needed.Requirements Proficient in managing the General Ledger and associated tasks Experience in Account Reconciliation to ensure financial data accuracy Comfortable with Digital platforms for financial management and reporting Proficient in Financial Reporting including preparation of financial statements Experience with Journal Entries and maintaining accurate financial records Ability to Execute financial strategies and plans effectively Knowledge of Best Practices in accounting and financial management Experience with Month End Close procedures and reporting Skill in Process Improvement within the accounting and financial sectors Ability to Ensure Compliance with all financial regulations and standards Understanding of Internal Control systems and their implementation Experience Collaborating with various teams for financial planning and management Proficient in Monthly Reporting and delivering timely financial updates Knowledge of US GAAP and its application in financial management Ability to perform financial tasks and reporting on a Monthly BasisRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
