Seeking a responsible individual whose primary focus will be to submit authorization treatment requests for our patients. A very organized system is in place, just waiting for the right person.
Main tasks will include the following;
Collect general information from patient.
Verify Insurance Information.
Submit Authorization Requests via electronic portal systems
Follow-up on previously submitted authorization requests.
Assist with answering phones and schedule appointments.
Other related duties
An clear understanding of HMO and PPO health plans is essential. Prior experience with Electronic Medical Records is also necessary, as is 2 years working in a medical office.
The candidate will work hand in hand with another authorizations specialist and the main receptionist.
A full benefit package is offered, including Health Insurance, Paid Sick and Vacation Days, and a 401K plan.
Hours are 8:30AM-5:00PM Monday thru Friday. A one hour lunch break is included. Work for 7.5 hours each day and get paid for 8.0 hours.
