Enhance your professional journey, become a part of our valued and dedicated team.DESCRIPTION OF WORKThe Public Health Program Administrator manages the state-wide public safety professional training program and coordinates the evaluation of program activities. Key job duties include developing procurement requests, developing contracts for public health programs, and negotiating contracts and grants with vendors and grantees according to commonwealth and department standards and policies. You will have the opportunity to serve as the Project Officer on grants and contracts related to naloxone and public safety professional education and training. This position also supervises one Public Health Program Associate 2 who oversees the Patient Advocacy Program.

Full-time employment.

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, in office Wednesdays. Telework on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Public Health Program Associate 2 (commonwealth title); or

A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:

PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
