All classes are seated on our Coon Rapids Campus. Our preference would be that one instructor teach all four classes, but we will consider applications for teaching either the two M/W classes or the two T/H classes.HPER 1103-01 First Aid & CPR 3 creditsM/W 11:00-11:50 AM Blended/HybridHPER 1112-01 Nutrition 3 creditsM/W 12:30-1:45 PM Fully Seated HPER 1103-03 First Aid & CPR 3 creditsT/H 9:30-10:20 AM Blended/HybridHPER 1102-01 Drugs, Alcohol and Tobacco 3 creditsT/H 11:00 AM-12:15 PM Fully Seated SALARY & BENEFITS Full-time faculty salaries are based on an evaluation of education and related experience after a job offer has been accepted and currently range from $51,303 -$94,592. Full-time faculty work 171 days during a nine-month academic year and receive excellent benefits including health insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, short and long-term disability, paid personal and sick leave, retirement savings plans, tuition waiver for employees and dependents, professional development funds, along with many optional benefit programs. Please note, Initial Step Placement is established by the Minnesota State College Faculty (MSCF) contract in which sets salary limitations to what a new faculty member is able to begin at. This will differ from the maximum salary range in this posting. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Health – or a Master’s degree in any discipline/field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in Health.

Ability to provide documentation to the Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI) to become certified to issue Advanced First Aid cards to students upon completion of that portion of the HPER 1103 course.

Ability to complete the American Heart Association “BLS Provider Instructor” certification by March 1, 2025 (if not already held; we will reimburse the cost to you).

Preferred Qualification

Recent teaching experience in First Aid and CPR.

A philosophy of teaching that successfully integrates process-based teaching, student-centered learning techniques, and a positive, growth-oriented mindset.

Experience with or a strong interest in the academic needs of non-traditional students, including non-native speakers of English, students with disabilities, low-income students, and first-generation college students.

Experience with or a strong interest in utilizing proven strategies to eliminate equity gaps.

A proven ability to work effectively and harmoniously with students, colleagues, and others.
