The Finance Director, Americas SU for Leica Biosystems is the Strategic Business Partner to the VP Commercial North America Selling Unit and VP Sales HGM for LATAM to lead the regional Finance team to drive and support the business through an exciting period of growth. They will set up the right organization structure, streamline end to end process to achieve efficiency and effectiveness, drive synergy and harmonization. They will build a strong, engaged team with strong succession planning across the organization.This position contributes to LBS’s overall mission by leading and supporting seamless financial and operational management systems, procedures, and processes. You will have solid finance management skills, aptitude for process and continuous improvement, be fully conversant in finance & accounting and a possess working knowledge of operations, service business and best practices across the Americas.This position is part of the Americas team located in our Chicago Deer Park office and will be office based.You will be a part of the Americas Commercial Team and report to the Senior Director, Global Commercial Finance. Co-pilot with the VP Commercial North America Selling Unit and VP Sales HGM for LATAM to develop, drive and enable commercial growth and strategic business development opportunities throughout the region
Develop and maintain forecasting processes that accurately predict future performance and motivate actions to ensure the business achieves its targets
Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting across all countries within the region. Providing insights regarding key CVD’s and initiate countermeasures if the businesses deviate from their targets
Develop, implement, and maintain an accurate reporting and control process across all regional selling units including investment models to support decision making
Improve financial processes and procedures by leveraging the Danaher Business System and best demonstrated practices
Develop diverse talent, future leaders, and successors within the Finance organization by inspiring and motivating all associates to perform at their highest levels
May lead functional teams or projects including M&A
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Finance/Accounting/Business or related field with 14+ years experience Master's Degree with 12+ years experience AND related experience includes 4+ years managing people.
Operating in commercial and technical aspects of finance, drive and sustain change and skilled at operating within a fast-paced, within a high growth commercial business with an international remit.
International experience working within a matrix environment
Advanced skills in all Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Excel and working in an integrated ERP system such as SAP.
Ability to work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
Very good written and spoken English
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Manufacturing & operations, financial consolidation and knowledge of standard costing
Experience with OneStream software and Robotic Process Automation
M&A experience
