You will be responsible for all receiving, shipping and production parts pulling for the gearing production department.Primary Responsibilities:
Unpack inbound shipments, check against purchase order/packing slip for accuracy, shortages and damage, and place inventory in correct storage bins
Read BOMs and pull/stage components for the production department
Pull completed products from inventory, package, and prepare shipments
Pull completed products from the production line, package, and prepare shipments
Assemble wooden crates for shipping as necessary
Work with shipping department to facilitate proper shipment of packages created in gearing department
Conduct cycle counts of inventory, and participate in full inventory counts
Maintain an accurate inventory in the correct locations and organized in an orderly fashion
Operate forklift, pallet jack, or warehouse ladder for moving of inventory
Receive product returns into the system based on pre-approved return authorizations
Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Education: High School or GED
Knowledge / training:
Basic knowledge of forklift operation (on site certification will be required)
Basic knowledge of packing and crating of products both corrugated and wooden cartons
Moderate knowledge and ability to use manual and power tools
Moderate knowledge of inventory control procedures
Basic understanding of ability to follow safety procedures
Preferred - Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Preferred - Basic knowledge of business operating software (SAP, Oracle)
Preferred - Basic experience reading BOMs
